Kartini Kartini movie tells the story of a small-growing witnessed how Ngasirah birth mother (Christine Hakim) like an outcast in her own home. Ngasirah treated like a servant just because he does not have royal blood. His father, Raden Sosroningrat (Deddy Sutomo), powerless against the tradition even though he was very fond of his family.
Throughout his life, Kartini fight for equal rights for all people, especially the right to education for women regardless of class of nobility or not. Together with her siblings, Roekmini (Acha Septriasa) and Kardinah (Ayushita Nugraha), Kartini founded a school for the poor and create jobs for the people in Jepara and surrounding areas.
