Ponyo is fascinated with Sosuke. Sosuke also feels the same and says "Do not worry, I'll take care of you and take care of you." But Fujimoto, Ponyo's father? Once a human being, now a witch who lives in the deep sea? Forcing Ponyo to return to the sea with him.
